Harmony’s 2025 roadmap focuses on achieving 1-second finality, unifying decentralized finance, and creating an open AI ecosystem.
We are continuously upgrading our protocol for seamless performance with enhancements such as Verkle Trees, State Expiry, and improved network resilience through Stream Sync and Leader Rotation. These innovations power platforms like pump.one for memecoin creation and exchange.one for stablecoins and perpetual trading. Meanwhile, the .country top-level domains enable AI agents to own self-custodial wallets and domains.
We aim to simplify DeFi, expand liquidity, and attract new users. Innovations such as yield enhancer and perpetual options markets, combined with AI-driven frameworks like Eliza OS—empowering autonomous agents for trading, governance, and decision-making—are designed to make DeFi intuitive and accessible to everyone. By leveraging AI to create cult-like memes and autonomous agents that amplify engagement through viral narratives and real-time market insights, we aim to redefine community-driven finance with creativity and precision.
These advancements aim to onboard millions of DeFi assets, billions of community memes, and trillions of intelligent models. Together, these efforts reflect our vision for 2025: building a blockchain that is fast, simple, and accessible to everyone.
Protocol & Platform
Soph Neou will work on addressing stability issues caused by leader rotation and achieving 1-second finality by optimizing staking and consensus mechanisms. The migration to StreamSync will improve node synchronization, while reaching 100% external vote power will further decentralize governance.
Konstantin Potapov will work on block proposing during leader rotation to ensure consistent 1-second finality. He also aims to deploy Stream and Stage Sync for improved performance and support EIP-3074 to enable gas-sponsored transactions.
Gheis Mohammadi will work on bringing Stream Sync to mainnet for better scalability and decentralization while completing and deploying a Leader Rotation upgrade to reduce potential vulnerabilities and ensure the network operates seamlessly under all conditions. He will also enhance consensus stability and actively contribute to improvement proposals that enable validators to communicate directly through streams rather than relying on DNS nodes.
Ecosystem Growth
Theo Perisic will work on making Harmony the go-to destination for DeFi through products like "One-Click Yield" and a perpetual exchange. By integrating AI-powered tools like Eliza OS into Harmony1Bot, he aims to simplify user experiences across DeFi applications while driving liquidity toward $100M TVL.
Yuriy Menkov will work on enhancing the Harmony Bridge by implementing the LayerZero upgrade, enabling interoperability with Solana and supporting additional user onboarding improvements. He also plans to launch advanced DeFi applications such as ERC-4626-based staking vaults and AI-driven trading bots for portfolio management.
Artem Kolodko will work on advance trading technologies by improving Pump.ONE features, integrating AI agents for trading assistance, and launching a decentralized perpetual market with robust liquidity.
Philipp Petzka will work on making Harmony the home of simple DeFi by achieving $100M TVL through competitive yield strategies. He also aims to onboard 10,000 wallets with balances over $200 by offering accessible savings tools while driving user retention with gamified experiences and utility-driven products.
AI & Community Engagement
Alaina Furstenberg will work on integrating AI-driven agents into marketing efforts for dynamic content creation and personalized outreach. She plans to leverage meme culture and video generation tools like Runway to simplify DeFi promotion while driving community engagement.
Frank Egloff will work on developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems will provide real-time information for users while supporting autonomous social agents on platforms like Telegram. These tools will enhance community interactions and promote Harmony's ecosystem.
Rikako Hatoya will work on gamifying user experiences through Telegram bots like Hod1 while integrating decentralized identity solutions. Her efforts aim to streamline user onboarding and foster community retention through tokenized rewards.
Developer Empowerment
Uladzislau Muraveika will work on onboarding a new systems engineer to improve team efficiency while enhancing integration tests for real-world configurations. Expanding RPC call testing will ensure network reliability for developers.
Sun Hyuk Ahn will work on implementing Ethereum Improvement Proposals like EIP-3074 for transaction sponsorship and EVM Object Format (EOF) upgrades. These initiatives will improve smart contract efficiency and scalability on Harmony.
Aaron Li will work on creating decentralized markets for options trading and event prediction while developing humanoid AI bots that collaborate with users. His long-term goal is to provide developer tools for building innovative AI and financial market applications within Harmony’s ecosystem.
